Tonight we watched the President and his "State of the Union" address. I guess he doesn't live in my neighborhood. But to think about it, I haven't seen or heard from one single politictian since the elections. Go figure. I'm thinking they don't really care about my problems. To them, it's only about the party. The Democrats still think we should feed the world as we all sing together "We are the world" and the Republicans, the conservatives... you have looked up that word right? Not willing to change. But change is constant and I sure don't like the thought of things staying this way. I think I want change. But not this crap we're getting. Healthcare reform.... are you kidding me? This is the best you can do? We're paying you how much and this is the best you can do? We could get better ideas from a McDonald's employee. So let's really look at the state of the union. We'll start with the banks. After we bailed them out and of course they used part of that money for their million dollar bonuses. They are doing great. My gosh look at all the houses they have redistributed amoungst the investors. Too bad for you if you couldn't find a job. They are by the way all in China now, but we'll get to that later. The banks are doing great. Just the other day it was reported that Citi Corp gave thier CEO a 75million pay raise. You want to know how? They don't pay their bills. They are using illegals and homeless to trashout your houses that they just foreclosed on. They are offering slave wages. Of course you will have to front them the money for that crew for 90 days or more. They are charging the real estate brokers up 40% of their commission to sell their house. If you are a broker, you now have to go to the eviction "you won't see a banker there". The broker has to pay the utilities and monitor the house thru the entire process. What is their pay? 0 Nothing. You get the honor of selling their house. And MOLD.... they hide the fact that these homes are full of mold and will make you and your families deathly ill. They call it discoloration. Do you know what it's like to evict a family on Christmas eve? I do. To watch a bunch of illegals trash out someone's home and put your belonging on the street.... with a sheriff standing by? I do. It makes you sick. Do you know that our housing market is now owned by the banks. They are selling the house and offering the loan. It's a racket. They give you 2 opportunities to kill the deal and retain your down payment. You get an inspection period... that is if the bank returns the signed contracts back in time. You only get 3 to 1O days. They have been known to hold a contract for well over 7 before you even know you were accepted. If you don't inspect within that timeline... too bad for you. You lose that chance to back out of the deal. Second is a Mortgage commitment date. Now this is the funny one. They give you an unrealistic amount of time to get this commitment and since that commitment is coming from "The bank" they are in no hurry. You lose your last opportunity to back out of the deal and keep your down payment. They kill the deal and it's free money for them.... Millions and millions of free money. If you don't close on time, they charge 1OO dollars a day for being late... of course it doesn't matter if you're late because they don't have clear title on the house, but what's a 1OO dollars a day? Chump change. They don't pay the contractors and if they do, you couldn't live of what they pay.... yet last time I checked... they are making 355 million dollars a day in profits. That's the money they just couldn't hide, give away, throw out in bonuses.... this is what we bailed out... and who protects them? Our government. Fannie Mae strictly says... DO NOT USE THE MOLD WORD. It's funny the banks now all about these houses. They have them inspected to see how bad they can rip off the next buyer. They know the heating doesn't work. They know that the plumbing is leaking or the roof has holes in it, but they are exempt from disclosures. Nice to have a government protecting your profits.
How about the oil companies and their 4OO mill a day in profits? Here we are just trying to get to a job that wouldn't support a homeless person and eating... do the math... Insurance companies are the same.... billions in profits each quarter... now our governement says we owe the insurance companies the right to earn billions in profits. What a solution to healthcare. What a freakin joke.
How about our governement? Congress gets to vote in their own raises. Who decided that? They did. Retirement after just 1 term with full pay and benefits? Who the hell voted that in? They did. And when we want our deficit in check, they go after our unemployment benefits. Funny they've never taken a pay cut. How about the illegals in this country? That's where all your jobs are. That's where the deficit is coming from!!! The governement says there are 2O to 25 million illegals in this country. Remember what they said about the oil this summer... funny how that number mushroomed like a nuclear bomb.... Have they done anything about the problem? Nope. Why should they? The corportations love the fact that they are holding wages down. Our government thinks we should just suck it up like Reagan made us and let them have our jobs. Let them suck our education system dry.... our kids aren't learning anything anyway. We have been sold out. Who the hell makes these trade agreements? A 3rd grader could do better. Our jobs were taken out from under us. Our houses redistributed... and the majority of this country is under employed if they are employed at all. We have been sold out.
So here's the deal America... Obama showed us one very true piece of information... you can motivate people. Some will say, but what can I do about it? I'm just one person. That is true, but as that one person, you hold the power of a nation.
On April 15 "Tax Day" withdraw all your money from your bank. You can leave enough to keep the account open. Don't touch your IRA or anything you will have to pay to withdraw, but your savings, checking.... take your money out of the bank. Don't swipe that card, walk in and pay cash... take your money out of the bank. I know what everyone is thinking, but you can't get enough people to do that... I can only account for myself, just as you can only account for yourself. Are you fed up enough to make a statement? Are you fed up enough with the banks, governement and all the corporations that are selling this nation out? If you are, then account for yourself... APRIL 15th make a stand. Withdraw your money.
